How Much Does Mediation Cost Per Hour?

Mediation services at Doctors Park are provided at a rate of $150 per hour.  

Do I Have to Be in the Same Room as the Other Person?

You do not need to be in the same room. In fact, it’s more typical for participants to be in separate rooms during the mediation process.  

Can We Do Mediation Via Video?

For increased scheduling flexibility, family mediation services are available via video

Can I Have My Lawyer Present?

Any legal representation you have is more than welcome to join you.  

Can I Have Other People Present?

Typically, it is counterproductive for people outside the relationship, other than your lawyer, to be present during the mediation process. However, each request is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.  

What Is the Length of Time Mediation Will Take?

The length of your appointment will vary depending on the complexity of your case and the number of participants. However, most mediation sessions take four to six hours on average. The number of sessions will also vary depending on your case  

What Documents Do I Need?

Your mediator will provide all parties with an intake questionnaire prior to the first session, along with an agreement to mediate. These will need to be signed and completed prior to the first session. Your mediator may also ask for indepth financial documents relating to assets and debts, tax returns, pay stubs, etc. Mediators will ask about monthly expenses, medical costs, personal property, insurance costs, and childcare (if children are involved). Both parties will be given a list of documents that will be necessary for the mediation process.
